Dr. Katie Houts completed her biology degree at Oregon State University and attended medical school at Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her family practice residency at University of Missouri, Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She then finished an obstetric fellowship at Truman Medical Center, Lakewood in Kansas City, Missouri. She has been practicing in Silverton for ten years and is skilled in women’s care, pediatrics and internal medicine.
Meet the Gal
Katie Houts moved to Silverton in 2007 and has previously owned her own successful independent practice. She and her husband, Daren, have a filbert farm and stay busy moving irrigation pipe during the summer. Their sweet chocolate lab, Bailey, loves trips to the farm to help and explore. Katie enjoys peaceful times with a good article or recommended book and traveling. She is known to be awake at crazy hours of the night researching topics that intrigue her. Daren and Katie have two children, Logan and Hannah, who are now both in college. Oregon State water bottle in hand, you can find her on the sidelines of the softball field cheering for Hannah.
